More Mile's R66 Running Shoe offers superior cushioning to ensure all day distance comfort

Features:

  • Breathable and durable mesh upper.
  • Upper overlay and raised outsole wall to maximise rear foot stability.
  • Soft, lightly padded and shaped tongue for comfort and security.
  • Phylon midsole for lightweight enhanced cushion.
  • Outsole rubber overlays to improve durability.

With an ultra-thick and soft Phylon midsole the More Mile R66 shoes offer the pinnacle in impact protection. Designed specifically to suit athletes competing in and training for ultra-marathons and distance events, the R66 is suitable for any distance runner looking for extra cushioning, comfort and protection from their footwear. Durable blown rubber is strategically utilised in high impact and abrasion zones on the outsole, specifically on the heel and toe, to provide traction and durability without an undue increase in weight. The thick Phylon midsole overlays the upper with a raised wall, particularly around the heel to add security and rear foot stability so the foot sits within the midsole rather than perched on top.

The breathable moisture wicking upper with a padded and shaped tongue provides immense comfort over those long miles by keeping temperature of the feet regulated whilst drawing moisture away from the skins surface, reducing the likelihood of blisters and discomfort. The thick weave mesh is also incredibly durable meaning the shoes will last as long as you can run in them!

The R66 is the ideal companion for athletes of all abilities and disciplines from the ultra-runner to the road runner looking for that bit more cushioning and protection.

Amazing value for superior, stable, lightweight cushioning Review by David

Bio: 55 year old 17 stone marathon runner of 30 years experience needing good cushioning [obviously]
This is the first time I have been so impressed by a shoe that I ordered a second pair almost straight after the first pair. I bought the blue ones after having taken a chance on the black ones for [only] £25, breaking them in and running a trail marathon in them... yes trail marathon in highly cushioned road shoes (!) albeit on very hard trails with some road sections. Why? the shoes are very well cushioned but perform very well on uneven trails due to their great stability; nice and wide at the heel and a wide, roomy toe box and forefoot. Also not much 'drop' from heel to toe which promotes a more 'natural' foot plant. BE PATIENT with them; they feel quite weird when you first try them on; kinda stiff, thin and lightweight, and not that immediate snug feel you might be used to but they 'break in' very quickly and mould well to your feet, and being so light you don't feel you are carrying them. Build quality is every bit as good as, and very similar to a much more expensive brand I bought last year. I'm a size 13 and these were a good fit so go with your usual size. A friend recommended More Mile after buying the cross country/fell shoes.

Great shoes Review by Kevin

These are great shoes, comfortable for many miles. Further distance I have done non stop in them is 50 miles so far. No blisters, no rubbing and feet felt good.
The only slight down side is you are unlikely to get much more than 500 miles out of a pair. But hey considering what you are paying and how good they feel, I will live with that!
I am on my third pair now! (Posted on 30/04/2017)

I bought there shoes as I am recovering from a bad knee injury and needed a well cushioned shoe. My only gripe is that the tongue needs to be more substantial and better padded for comfort. (Posted on 24/03/2017)
Excellent shoe for the price Review by Anthony

For the price, the shoe gives good value for the money - they give a very good feel to the run and very responsive to each stride - I would indeed purchase another pair of the R66. An important point that I think needs addressing and that the tongue material used is not substantial and padded enough compared with Nike, Addidas, New Balance, Assics shoes etc. for example, It makes the top of the foot where you tighten the shoe a little sore and hugely marked. In fact I cut to shape and sewed part of an old inner sole to the tongues to give extra padding which made a huge difference and now they are just fine. A little extra money spent on the tongue would be totally worthwhile. (Posted on 10/02/2017)

Bought ahead of need I'm yet to test this shoe properly but forced to review as I bought with others. Comfortable enough about town as a casual shoe. Chunky sole which may have benefits on longer road runs but slow on shorter distances such as parkrun. TBA (Posted on 01/01/2017)

Ive run in most brands of shoe and these are a decent pair. Ive done mostly road runs in them with the occasional path / track and they have coped fine with everything except mud which is expected.
The grip isnt great on wet dirty roads but manages ok.
Fit and size - toe shape is slightly more rounded than suits my foot but not caused any issues. I bought my usual size and they fit fine with lightly padded socks.
Ventilation is decent and they are adequately padded without feeling bulky or unstable.
The soft blue areas on the tread are easily damaged on gravel paths etc but overall these are fine for distance training and events. (Posted on 24/07/2016)

I saw these advertised on facebook as an alternative to Hoka. Being a massive fan of Hoka I was intrigued, and as they are a fraction of the price decided to give them a go. My initial reaction was you get what you pay for -

I decided to give them a go and persevere and I am glad I did. I have now done 280 miles in them - They are showing signs of wear on the sole and my toe is starting to poke through the right toe, but that happens in a more expensive shoe so no worries about that. I'm not sure that they will go much over 400 miles though.

Overall a good value shoe and a purchase I will be repeating in the not to distant future. (Posted on 12/07/2016)
Not bad Review by Warren

Recently purchased these there not a bad trainer for the price the quality could do with improving though. There is rubber on the sole however not in all the right places where the ball of the foot sits is soft foam which doesn't offer much grip. Also the soft foam seems to wear quickly on roads. The high heel makes it a little hard turning on the spot or on tight corners with little support for the ankles which could cause problems. The shoes are comfy and very light which makes them good for long distance no real need to break them in. All in all I'd recommend these trainers to a beginner who has an interest in the sport if you run frequently I'm not sure they would with stand the wear and tear. Over all decent product. Could be improved. Recommended for beginners. (Posted on 25/06/2016)

A very good shoe that's great for the price. Not as heavy as I expected and better quality. The size was accurate and quite generous in the width and toe.

These are genuine running shoes at a great price! (Posted on 21/06/2016)

Got my trainers safe and sound, I'm in-between sizes in trainers ( 11.5 -12 ) went for 11.5 and found them a little snug in the length, swapped them for a 12 ( easy return and exchange :-) ) 12 fit great, trainers doesn't feel over spongey but feels great on the road, I can defo feel there is a difference between these and my other road running trainers, I have ran a good few marathons and would wear these for one no problem at all..
Trainers don't feel like they need broken in from the box either !

for the price I would recommend ( even just for recovery runs ) (Posted on 03/05/2016)

Have enjoyed running in these so far, though they have more height difference beteen the heel and forefoot than i am used to.
Durability has yet to be seen, though rubber only covers part of the sole, but for the money I can hardly complain. (Posted on 23/04/2016)

Can't fault the service, delivery and ease of my purchase, the shoes on first try out are super comfy and don't look to shabby. The only thing I'm a little concerned about is the durability of the sole - seems to be quite a bit a wear after only 43 miles in them, will keep my eye on this. (Posted on 22/04/2016)

So, £30 for a pair of 'endurance' running shoes? Seriously? Well, for 30 notes, had to be worth a punt. Arrived in good time, well packaged. First impression: light, sole seems denser than I expected. Laced up, went out for a 10k, see how I got on. Impressed! Light, comfy, responsive, supportive. Tried them in a road race, some surfaces full of big potholes - no problem. Carried on from that with a long run, 18 miles under my belt (and feet) - no problem at all. Comfy, no slipping, good grip even on smooth metal manhole covers etc.
I normally wear size 10 shoes, size 11 in runners, so bought 11's of these; I would suggest buying a half size bigger rather than a full size - they are generous in the toe. I especially like the extra strengthener at the heel and outsole - perfect for those of us who pronate or tend to heel strike - and an improvement on the Hoka. I do like Hoka, but find they wear quickly on the outsole and heel (annoying considering the cost). The R66 is a serious contender, and well worth taking a chance.
Will I buy them again? YES. Definitely. At this price, you cannot go wrong - will be ordering two pairs to keep in stock. (Posted on 16/04/2016)
