Details:

Hit the trails and get to grips with the More Mile Cheviot 4 Trail Running Shoes.

With its new and improved sleeker and lower profile design, the Cheviot 4 comes with a thinner, tighter weave mesh in the upper, which gives the shoes an improved durability meaning they’ll hold up on the roughest fells and trails. This tighter weave mesh also provides a water resistant upper whilst maintaining its breathability. This is coupled with the new sewn in tongue further improving the water repellence of the Cheviot 4. Momentarily submerged in puddles and pools, the shoes won’t immediately fill with water! The durable and high quality fabrics used in the upper allow the Cheviot 4 to be flexible and handle the multi-terrains and conditions that the hills and fell routes throw at you, while allowing your feet to breathe at the same time.

The More-tech rubber outsole with a multi-directional tread pattern is made from a softer compound than the previous models of the Cheviot. This is to provide greater traction of hard surfaces such as rocky fell routes and dry or baked trails whilst also improving the impact protection of the shoe. Flex ribs in the mid/outsole give improved forefoot flexibility allowing the foot to contour and mould over rocks and roots on the trail and permit more precision in foot placement. The full length Phylon EVA midsole provides a longer lasting, softer feel to the shoes over those with a standard EVA midsole. This results in an ultra-comfortable, plush ride with amazing impact protection on longer runs and rocky descents.

The Cheviot 4 is ideally suited to orienteers and obstacle racers too. The More™ technology that has been included throughout the Cheviot 4’s provides a comfortable, lightweight and aggressively agile ride, allowing you to move nimbly and quickly over any terrain or obstacles between checkpoints and features!

 Features:

  • Weight - 320g
  • Heel drop 6-8mm
  • Lightweight flex mesh
  • Cemented construction
  • Moisture wicking breathable lining
  • Protective toe guards
  • Inner lining and tongue for added cushioning and protection
  • More technology blown rubber outsole for maximum grip
  • Lightweight Phylon Eva with more flex rib construction

Please note: we would recommend buying half a size bigger than your normal shoe size.

Excellent shoe for a stunning price Review by Simon

These are my 3rd pair of Cheviot shoes and they continue to amaze how good they are for so little money.
The only way they could be improved is the water resistance, the second I get onto damp grass my feet get wet, but that's worth living with for the other benefits and I guess waterproofing would put the cost up somewhat. (Posted on 20/09/2019)

I buy these shoe's for my kids for their trail and obstacle runs, these are a good alternative for the other more expensive brands.
Especially when their feet are still growing and they need more than one pair a in a season.
And yes you have to order a half size bigger. (Posted on 13/09/2019)

Running shoes fit well - took their advice and got a 1/2 size larger than normal shoe size. Comfortable from day one. Although I allowed time for them to bed in, it wasn't necessary. For a very cheap pair of running shoes, they are very good. Doing toughmudder shortly and expect to write them off, but at this price, not a problem. (Posted on 01/09/2019)

My second pair, great grip off-road & in mud, a bit hard on paving but that's not what they are for. Bright colours, easy to clean, good price and fast service. (Posted on 14/04/2019)
Cheap functional shoe. Review by Damian

The shoes seem fine after only a few miles. Good shoe for trail running with excellent grip and good sole protection.the build quality is not what you are used to in anything in even slightly more expensive. I sent my first pair back after putting them on and finding the foam in the heel had turned over foaming an uncomfortable lip which started rubbing immediately. The second shoes seem fine at the moment. No hassle return policy. I will have to do a lot more miles on them before I decide if the price is actually worth the risk of the poor build quality. I purchased these to tackle the very muddy cross country Churchfields Parkrun and have been impressed with how well they grip and also how soft they feel. I already own the Cheviot Pace which are excellent, however the Cheviot 4 have more & deeper lugs (10mm instead of 8mm) so I thought they may offer even more grip. As soon as you put them on they are comfy and I did not need to run them in. They are also excellent for general cross country walking so would recommend for walking the dogs over the fields and alike. As I own both the Cheviot Pace and Cheviot 4's which would I recommend? Personally I would buy the Cheviot Pace as although the Cheviot 4's are a bit gripper due to the deeper lugs, it is minimal. The Cheviot Pace feel flatter to the ground which I like, whereas the outsole of the 4's feel a little built up toward the heel end of your foot. Its just my preference but I like to feel flatter to the ground when I run so it really depends on what you are used to, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice. Both also feel good when you have to run off the grass and onto hard tarmac for a bit which surprised me. The advice by More Mile on size is correct, whatever your usual size, go half a size bigger, this is true of both the Cheviot Pace and 4's in my experience. I really do not see the point of paying the huge prices of some of these so called trail shows which do not grip as well as these. If you run off road and like getting muddy, I highly recommend them. The quality is also surprisingly good and the free delivery and excellent service by more mile is also a reason to buy. Enjoy the trails. (Posted on 28/02/2019)
Quality off-road running shoe Review by John

A great off-road running shoe, especially in the mud and wet. Must be the best-value item on the market. Can't recommend the Cheviot enough for running in the harshest conditions. The thin, tough sole, grippy studs, and robust water resistant upper make it an ideal all-round shoe as far as I'm concerned. I'm on my 3rd pair in 10 years. But do get a size larger than your usual shoe size (Posted on 27/12/2018)

These are my 1st pair of aggressive- soled trail shoes. I’ve used various Nike Pegasus Trail & ASICS shoes. There is no comparison- these are incredibly good when it gets moist & mucky. I’ve recently taken to the trails due to IT band niggles caused by road running. I’m really enjoying the change and the confidence they give me over steep & slippy ground. Totally recommended. Cheviot 4 =very good grip! Review by jean-luc

Shoes very suitable for muddy, snowy, and grassy slopes.
Light and precise.
The top of the shoe is well designed: simple and resistant.
On dry roads and flat, the crampons under the heel are a bit awful because they form a "tip" favoring a lack of precision on some supports.
the structure of the semmelle is a little soft and crashes too fast. (Posted on 19/10/2018)
